I will be showcasing some of my new designs in the fashion show. Look out for my jewellery during the catwalk event and come and meet me too. I shall be selling some pieces on the night with my colleague Catherine Stokes.

Margaret Morrison and Catherine Stokes present a collection of unique silver jewellery. Otherwise independent Scottish jewellery designers, Margaret and Catherine have collaborated on a number of projects.

After striking up a friendship while studying together at Lauder College in Dunfermline they decided to continue to support one another in starting up their businesses, including the sourcing of materials, browsing jewellery exhibitions and seeking new ventures.

As you will see, Margaret's work features strong design, with influences from nature and the world around us that can be clearly seen in the finished piece. Elegant silverwork is decorated with exciting stones, and vibrant colours regularly feature.

Catherine is a talented worker of intricate silver pieces. Of particular note is Catherine's skill as a metalworker. Her designs are decorated by hand fold-forming in silver and copper. This technique of hammering the metal means each piece is beautifully textured and entirely unique. Look out for Catherine’s leaf and swirl motifs.

As their reputations grow, their local communities in Fife have shown great interest and support in each of the girls' work. Their originality always shines through, and many of their pieces have been bought to be given as gifts.
